Beachview House was built in 1892 on Cumberland Island
as three cottages. In 1923, it was floated down the Atlantic and
reassembled in its present location as one cottage on St. Simons
Island - back then
it was called the Gramling Cottage, after the family that had it
in the 1920's. By the time it was started to be restored, it was
so overgrown, that many folks didn't even know there was a cottage
on the property. It is blessed with a fabulous location - being
able to see the water and yet being close to town, in the middle
of everything - The house retains much of its historic charm -
original hardwood flooring - great beadboard walls - even the
original claw foot tub! It is furnished with many comfortable
antiques and high quality upholstery - but it is designed to be
a place to put your feet up and relax to the pace of life that is
St. Simons Island

Renting:

Rates subject to change until a firm booking is made. Weekly minimum rental
may be required. Special: From Labor Day to Feb 28, book at least two months
and receive 20% off the applicable rates. Last Minute Specials: If less than
30 days before a rental and the dates are available, please contact us for
special rates. Labor Day Weekend, Georgia/Florida Weekend, Thanksgiving Week, and Christmas/New
Year's Time Period: $450/night or $2250/week all require a four night minimum.
Rental policies: 50% deposit of base rent is due within
24 hours of booking, with a signed lease (faxed lease OK).
The rest of the money (dog fee, rest of rent, taxes,
etc.) will be due 30 days before check-in. Dog fee is $45.00
per stay. Taxes are 12%. Review the
Sample Lease and
Sample Dog Addendum.

Well-behaved dogs welcome: This is a pet friendly rental.
The house is 3 bedrooms, 4 baths and
will sleep up to 9 people:
Location: In the center of everything right in the village/pier
area close to Neptune Park, great shopping, restaurants, the lighthouse,
the theater, library, and festival grounds. Within an half block of
the water, ocean views from the porch and living room.
BEACH RULES for Glynn County (From a Glynn County Publication of 11/22/04):
- Please Use a Beach Trash Receptacle or Carry Your Trash Off the Beach to a Dumpster
- No Glass Containers
- No Motorized Vehicles
- No littering
- If your animal leaves more than prints in the sand, please pick it up and dispose of it in a trash receptacle!
- Animals are prohibited on the beach form 9 am to 5pm, Memorial Day
through Labor Day From Mallery Street (the pier) to First Street/East Beach
(Coast Guard Station).
- Our side note-The last rule ALSO means that you can be on the
mainland beach side of the pier ANYTIME or to the Sea Island side of the
Coast Guard Station ANYTIME, too.- Just be responsible dog owners-

accommodations, lodging or a place to stay for a festival such as the
Sunshine Festival, one of the wonderful Antiques Shows, Arts and Crafts
Festival, the Sea Island Festival, or any of the other festivals held in
Neptune Park? Beachview House is literally across the street from the
festival. You can't ask for a more convenient or comfortable place to stay!
